Cataloging files is one of the most efficient ways of organizing data. Instead of browsing through numerous folders or loading CDs and DVDs one by one, to find a specific file, you can look it up in a well organized database and find it in a second. Efficiency is Azzul's primary feature. It can take a snapshot of an entire folders structure and it allows you to browse through the contents, just like on a standard explorer window. This enables you to locate any file instantly.

Azzul is free and you don't have to meet any special requirements to run it. The setup file is only 1.13 MB, so it should take less than a minute to download and install the software.

The interface looks like a blank explorer window. After you populate your database with new entries, you will find your folders in a tree structure on the left side of the window and their contents on the right side. You may create one or more catalogs, which appear as parent folders, in the same tree structure.

To catalog files, you must follow a wizard's instructions. The program allows you to target discs, removable drives, as well as folders from your local partitions. The selected folder can be sent to one of your existing catalogs. Finally, you must name your disc and insert a description if you want to. If you want to catalog a local folder, the software will insert its name automatically.

It takes only a few seconds to catalog a folder, even if it has a large number of files and sub-folders. You may click and drag discs and folders to different catalogs and you can use a flexible search function if you are looking for a particular file. Before you start the search process, you can set the program to look for plain text, wildcards or RegEx entries.
